Tretower Court
Completed in 2009 for CADW. We were the main contractors for CADW and responsible for the complete reroofing of the main court. The project took us 7 months and traditional materials were used throughout including oak lathe, handmade oak pegs and lime for torching the underside of each stone tile. All additional tiles required to complete this project were supplied by us.
This medieval court was the creation of Sir Roger Vaughan and his descendants. During the Wars of the Roses Sir Roger became one of the most powerful men in Wales – and Tretower reflected his fame.
